There are many ways Hiland Park is involved in ministering to the community. The goal in meeting needs throughout the community is to allow opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Throughout the school year many children do not have adequate shoes. This ministry allows individuals to go into the schools and give children in need shoes. Shoes for Souls is being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in Bay County.

During the school year many children do not have enough food to eat on the weekend. Each week volunteers at Hiland Park prepare hundreds of “backpacks” full of food for children in need. These backpacks are then distributed throughout the county. The backpack ministry exists to show the love of Christ through meeting physical needs. You can help by packing the bags on Tuesday mornings in the College House or you can pick up a Blessings in a Backpack envelope at the Missions Table and give to this wonderful ministry!

God has placed Hiland Park Baptist Church in Panama City for a reason.  We are called to be His hands and feet and Share Fest is a great opportunity to make that happen. Share Fest is an annual event where we show Jesus' love by meeting some of their toughest physical needs. Whether it be cleaning up a school or a sister church, we are meeting the needs of our community simply by lending a hand.

The Helping Hands ministry meets the needs of individuals in need. Often times there are elderly or disabled people in our community who need things repaired or built around their house to make life just a little bit easier. Being a part of the Helping Hands ministry shares the love of Christ, while also serving the community.
