WHAT TO EXPECT

What should I expect when visiting Hiland Park?

If you are a first time visitor to Hiland Park or you are considering visiting us, please feel free to relax and enjoy time here. You are welcome and will not be singled out or volunteered. Also as our guest, you should not feel obligated to participate in the offering. We’re just glad you’re here. When you first pull into our parking lot you should see parking spaces specifically for guests. Greeters are located in the church lobby to show you where to go.

What are services like?

We want you to feel comfortable as you worship God with other believers. Our worship style is taken from Colossians 3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."

In everything we do our goal is to Love God and Love People.

What should I wear?

We want you to dress comfortably.  Some people may wear suits or dresses, while others may have on jeans and tennis shoes. Our services are always casual. We don’t want you to worry about what you wear, just that you come ready to worship.

Where do my children go?

At Hiland Park, your child's safety and well-being are very important to us. We have preschool and children’s ministries that allow kids to be themselves as we teach them about the love of Jesus Christ. You can accompany your child to a Check-In station, where they will receive a printed tag with their name and a unique number for each week. Half of the name tag you will keep, the other will stay on your child while they are in the HP Kids areas. When it is time to pick your child up, you will bring back the other half of the name tag with that unique number attached.
